Pain is a symptom. To treat this symptom, an accurate diagnosis of what is causing the pain must first be made. Often, multiple diagnoses may occur. It is important that our patients develop an understanding of their medical problem and the treatments called for in order for them to return to work and to their lives.

Medication trials

An accurate diagnosis enables patients to understand more about their pain. Treatments
will vary and the patient’s ability to communicate about the pain is important. There are
common conditions that can be treated when an accurate diagnosis is made.
